Forest Ridge

Forest Ridge is a new neighborhood in Hillsborough, currently under development by Crescent Communities. Townhomes and single-family residences are available in addition to lots for custom home construction.  Crescent has chosen Ashton Woods to build The Townhome Collection and prices for those units will begin in the $200,000s. For single-family residences, prices are from the mid $300,000s to the mid $600,000s.  


One section called Artisan Homes at Forest Ridge is being built by Saussy Burbank and features rear access garages. Fielding Homes will also be building single-family residences, offering seven different floor plans. The Custom Collection homes will be priced from $500,000 and builders for those lots include Amward Homes, Legacy Custom Homes, and Wardson Construction.

According to the Forest Ridge website, the developer’s plan and design for the neighborhood make it “North Carolina’s first Four-Star (highest level) candidate community for National Green Building Standard certification."

Amenities include a junior Olympic-sized pool and walking trails that connect to the Riverwalk trail system in Hillsborough that follows the banks of the Eno River. Across the street from Forest Ridge is the Orange County Sportsplex offering fitness programs, indoor aquatics, and an ice rink for skating and hockey.

Nearby restaurants and retail shopping can be found in historic downtown Hillsborough. Children living in Forest Ridge are eligible to attend Cameron Park Elementary School, Charles W. Stanford Middle School, and Orange High School.

Driving time from Forest Ridge to downtown Durham is 17 minutes, to Duke University is 14 minutes, to UNC and downtown Chapel Hill is 24 minutes, to Research Triangle Park is 23 minutes, and, to the Raleigh/Durham International Airport (RDU) is 30 minutes.
