Briar Chapel

Development of Briar Chapel began in 2007 with plans for 2500 Green Homes to be built as part of a planned community located on 900 acres in northern Chatham County. As of 2017, it contains 1300 homes priced from $200,000 to $900,000 and offers an amenity-rich environment. Pools, parks, community gardens, a dog park and a clubhouse with fitness center are enjoyed by Briar Chapel residents. The capstone of its healthy lifestyle offerings is a trail system 24 miles long, including a 15-mile competitive mountain bike trail, all of it located within the boundaries of the community. A long list of other social and educational activities are offered at the clubhouse. (see links below for more information.)
