Known as the “City of Oaks” for the oak trees that line the streets in the heart of town, Raleigh, is one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Home of North Carolina State University and nearby Centennial Campus, an extension of the university, dedicated to launching new companies, negotiation research agreements, working with government agencies and non-profits under one roof. Places of interest include the State Capitol, North Carolina Museum of Art, North Carolina Museum of History, NC Museum of Natural Sciences, and Marbles Kids Museum to name a few. Pullen Park, a 66 acre park in the central part of town, was the first public park in North Carolina. Raleigh was one of the earliest examples of a planned city.
